A Look Back at the 2014 Summit Summer Olympics
All good things must end, and this past Friday was the last day of the 2014 Summit Summer Olympics Program. The boys' and girls' programs both had fun-filled days that included sports championships, relay races, a field day, and talent show.
After the program ended at 3 p.m., students came back later with their families for the Summit Awards Ceremony, where students were recognized for their achievements over the summer in academics, character, and athletics. The girls also performed a dance to "Dare (La La La)," one of the theme songs of the 2014 World Cup, which was a big theme for the program this summer.
Junior Counselor Lupe Serna also shared a couple of videos that she has been working hard on over the summer; one that showed the highlights of the 2014 Girls Summit Summer Olympics Program, and another that is a tribute to the 2014 "JCs" (11 of whom are Seniors, and this will be their last summer in this role!):
